Your new Library Card

Depending on where you live in Johnson County, your library card with the Greenwood Public Library will be either white or green.

Evergreen Cards: Green Evergreen library cards are issued to community members living within our Greenwood City library district. This card give you all the benefits of a Greenwood Library card and additionally allows you access to the greater Evergreen consortium of libraries.

Greenwood Library Cards: White GPL cards are given to patrons who live in the greater Johnson County area (outside our Greenwood City library district) or who live in a library district with which we have a reciprocal agreement. These cards allows you to use all of the resources of Greenwood Public Library, including Inter-Library Loan which provides access to books from libraries across the country.

Not sure if you qualify for a card? Check here to see how you can get a card.

Your Password

No matter which kind of card you have, you will be given a temporary, automatically generated password when the card is issued. The first time you use the card, you will be prompted for the temporary password and then asked to create a new password of your choosing - something you will remember. If at any time you cannot remember your password, or if you have lost the original four digit password, simply call the library or stop by and we will assist you.
