Storytimes  Preschool Books and Babies  Little Tykes Bedtime Stories All storytimes require registration.

Preschool Ages: 3-6yrs. · Unaccompanied or caregivers are welcome. · 30 minute circle time /15 minute craft time · Join Miss Anne and Scruffy for exciting books, stories, finger plays and songs. · Storytimes are repeated seven times during the week. Sponsored by Clown Pediatrics

 

Babies & Toddlers Newborn to 18 Months · Caregivers Required (Siblings are welcome) · 20 minutes circle time · Develop your baby’s love of reading early by joining Miss Kim as she shares bubbles, books, and fun!

Little Tykes                                   For babies 18 months to 3 years               · Caregivers Required (Siblings are welcome) · 20 minutes circle time · Introduce your child to stories, songs, fingerplays, and fun in this interactive session!

Bedtime Stories                           For babies to children 3 years old               · Caregivers Required (Siblings are welcome) · 20 minutes circle time · Enjoy great stories, songs, and lots of fun in this interactive storytime.

  

Rules and Guidelines

· Children should be pre-registered one day in advance for all programs requiring registration.
· Arrive at least five minutes early.
· Children should use the restroom before coming into a program.
· Please turn off all cell phones and pagers during programs.
· Caregivers should refrain from conversing while the librarians are reading or telling a story.
· Please remove crying or restless children from the program so as not to disturb others.
· Parents with children age six and under should not leave the library building while a child is attending a program.

Greenwood Public Library joins with the Public Library Association in providing Every Child Ready to Read. These programs are based on the six pre-reading skills your child can start learning from birth: Narrative Skills/Print Motivation/ Phonological Awareness/ Letter Knowledge and Print Awareness.
