Who we are

The Friends of the Greenwood Public Library is a not-for-profits 501© 3, community organization that enhances the work of the Greenwood Public   Library by providing financial resources to support programs, services, equipment and materials that would not otherwise be possible within the constraints of GPL’s operating budget.

Friends of GPL Perks

• First selection of items at the Book Sales (sneak preview one day before public opening)
• A 10% discount at Half-Price Books
• A copy of Friendly Notes, the Friends newsletter, mailed to your home
• Students receive a $2 coupon to the Bookmark Café
• Business members will receive  2 free four hour sessions in our conference room or one free eight hour session
• Friends members receive a $10 GPL dollars coupon book good for fines, fees or entertainment movie rentals.

(Due to joining the Evergreen Consortium, we are no longer offering Express Request items.)

Friends do the Book Nook, Book Sales, fund special programs like Summer Reading, the Greenwood Read, extra books for the collection, special events, author visits,  special speakers and much more. Click here for our events calendar!
