The Pony Whisperer: The Word on the Yard, by Janet Rising
Extend your habit of sharing books with your daughter all through her school-age years. Read the same book together and meet to compare notes with each other, from one generation to another. We’ll share a light snack and enjoy facilitated discussions, fun quizzes, games and crafts. Each girl must be accompanied by a female parent or female adult caretaker. When you sign up, be sure to register both the participating adult AND child. Each meeting is a separate registration event. Participants will buy one book at $7 per meeting and receive a second book free to accommodate both readers.

Father-Son Man Cave
For third- through fifth-grade boys and their Dads.

Your night for some male bonding—no girls allowed. We’ll set up a community room with snacks, tables and comfy chairs were you can read, talk, or play games. Fathers, schedule this time for some male bonding and show your son that real men DO read! There’s no set program or facilitator, but we’ll feature a different variety of books and periodicals at each salon. Use the space to read, talk, play games and spend some quality time together. Each boy must be accompanied by a male parent or male adult caretaker. When you sign up, be sure to register both the participating adult AND child. Each event is a separate registration event.

Boys Adventure Club

For kindergarten through fifth-grade enthusiasts of the American Girl doll series.

Amazing Authors Club
For first through fifth-graders who enjoy expressing themselves through writing.
Join us for some fun in Awesome Authors! Children will be learning to write creatively like some of our favorite book authors. Each month, we will be doing a new, fun and exciting writing project.
September 22: It's the diaries of the not-so wimpy kids! Join us as we do some writing icebreakers and learn to write about ourselves. Be prepared to share some funny stories!
