In the lobby of the Greenwood Public Library the Friends of GPL have on display a “Tree of Appreciation”. This tree was developed in 2007, in honor of GPL’s 90 Year Anniversary of service to the Greenwood/Johnson County community. Our Tree of Appreciation represents many, many strong supporters of the Greenwood Public Library. This Tree is filled with donor leaves of those who support the library both financially and in spirit. Please consider having a leaf engraved with your family name, in memory of a loved one, or in honor of someone special. This may be the perfect gift for that person who has everything they need, to honor a retiree, or to let a special teacher or friend know that you appreciate them. Your gift to them would also be a gift to GPL. Each leaf is made of polished metal and will be placed above a hand carved wooden tree trunk standing about 7 feet tall, and engraved with your chosen inscription.
There are many levels of giving:
$100 Bronze Leaf
$500 Silver Leaf
$1,000 Gold Leaf
$5,000 Acorn
As with any gift to the Friends of the Greenwood Public Library, your donation is tax deductible. Payment plans may be available upon request.
