It was a birthday present that turned out to be a little more dangerous than you anticipated. Your best friend surprised you with tickets to see your favorite band – they had never come through your town before and you can’t believe she scored a floor ticket. The opener was kind of lame, but you could feel the anticipation grow as the headliners made their way onto the stage, strumming the chord that everyone knows. You’re fully into the music, eyes closed, letting the rhythm move through you when it suddenly feels like a semi truck rams into your side. Your eyes fly open as you crash into the person next to you. That’s when you realize you’re in the middle of a mosh pit. A pair of strong arms wrap around your waist and spins you out of the fray just as a rather large muscled man comes careening your direction. You look up into the eyes of your savior, and to your amazement, it’s the boy that got away. The boy that stole your heart in high school before you lost contact after graduation. Surprise leads to excitement. Excitement meant leads to much dancing together. Dancing together leads to drinks. And drinks lead to happily ever after. All it took was finally having the right timing.
