Recording Studio
The Recording Studio has equipment to help you produce videos, music, podcasts, or take great photos. You must be 14+ years of age, or accompanied by an adult, to reserve the Recording Studio or to check out Community Equipment for use in The Studio Makerspace.
A valid library card is needed to use the Recording Studio. If you don’t have a card, you are still able to use the Recording Studio by purchasing a day pass card.
Please note that beverages and food are strictly prohibited in the Recording Studio. You may leave water/beverage bottles on the counter outside of the Studio or in our storage closet (with library staff approval) for drink breaks.
At the end of your session, a library staff member will conduct a walk through of the Recording Studio to ensure you have all your belongings and all studio items are returned to their original places.
Reserve this space
The Recording Studio can be booked in two-hour blocks up to twice per week. Please visit the 2nd floor Help Desk or call 317-881-1953 to schedule. You can also book a time online.
First-time users are encouraged to spend their first reservation becoming acquainted with the equipment. Learning in the space is intended to be self-directed. We have also made available all user guides and instruction manuals for your convenience. We also recommend browsing some of these resources to get started.
Library staff will be on hand to get you started and will be happy to guide you to additional resources.
Saving your work
Makers can bring either an external hard drive or SD card to save their files to depending on their project. The library has SD cards and SD card readers available for checkout for use in the space only. Projects can be saved temporarily to a GPL SD card and then transferred to the cloud or a USB drive you brought from home.
